How Wedding Dress Styles Can Help Determine Your Accessories Your dress: could anything else be a bigger indicator of who you are on your big day?
The importance of the dress simply cannot be underestimated. It’s not a coincidence that it’s referred to as ‘The One!’ It’s central to the overall look and feel of the whole day and it tells everyone at your wedding something about you. It will go a long way toward answering the question, ‘what kind of bride will I be?’ Let’s look more closely at the specific things about your dress that you might want to consider when selecting your bridal accessories. It’s important to note there are no hard and fast rules here. You’ve heard the saying less is more but ultimately this is about tying your whole look together. The following pages is intended to give you a few pointers in your approach to enhancing your dress and overall look. If you’re not sure where to start, think about the shape and style of your dress.
Is it formal, structured, long, short, detailed, smooth?
Does it look delicate and romantic or different and striking? If it is long, soft, smooth, floating over curves and gathered at the back, will you want to match the look with, say, smaller earrings and delicate pearls and crystals?
Or will you choose instead to have one slightly bolder accessory to really make the look your own? There is no right or wrong! I believe are four main considerations when it comes to bringing your accessories in line with your dress: Neckline, Material, Detail, and What you usually wear.
